The Little Lighthouse Foundation
Although you want to spend your time doing something valuable for the community, you also want to have fun. If you like working with people who value hard work and care about families and children, consider working with the people from The Little Lighthouse Foundation. By recruiting, educating, and training volunteers passionate about helping other families experiencing difficult situations, The Little Lighthouse Foundation serves as a beacon of hope for many Floridian families.
They deploy caring volunteers throughout Miami to assist families and provide support to other charities working within the community. By organizing and conducting high-profile fundraising events, such as Blanc de Blancs and Hearts and Stars Gala, The Little Lighthouse Foundation raises financial support and awareness to alleviate financial burdens to children and their families. If you love to make kids smile and have a knack for helping people forget about their problems, then Radio Lollipop might be a good fit. Volunteers for Radio Lollipop provide care, comfort, play, and entertainment for sick children in hospitals. Because one in four children will require a hospital stay at least once before the age of 14, Radio Lollipop aims to provide them with some reprieve and gives kids a voice. They can decide to hear their favorite songs, win prizes, or even hear themselves belt out some tunes on the radio. Working with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, you can brighten a child’s day and bring music into a difficult situation.
